Cetus Gallery District Community Center Saturday May 26 - 1 PM SLT Turkish contemporary artist and animator Somethings Box will speak about his current solo exhibition at The Drawing Quarters Gallery in Cetus. Please join us for a lively hour at the Cetus Gallery District Community Center to hear his insights. In 2005, Somethings was given a beautiful notebook as a gift. In the face of certain hardships, he "escaped" to its pages as "medicine," and grappled with the creative process: Does the artist consciously control his/her creation? Or does the creative process have a momentum all its own? Influenced in his diary drawings by a wide range of movements including Symbolism, Expressionism, Realism, Surrealism, contemporary art, poetry, and shamanic miniatures, Somethings will address the questions: Where does our creativity come from, how might we tap into it most deeply? And how might this very personal event of putting line to paper inform us about ourselves? slurl.com/secondlife/Cetus/214/9/39
